When to come to Costa Rica? How about anytime of the year! The “summer season,” from December through early May, is a no brainer. The weather is warm, the skies are blue and the tropics are rocking in everyway you’d expect. Don’t underestimate the “Green Season,” (erroneously) referred to as the rainy season. It’s the very thing that provides the luxuriant growth of our jungles. It takes over in late May and lasts through early December. Average temperatures drop from the high-eighties to the mid-seventies and you can usually set your watch to the comfortable afternoon rain showers. You just start your day earlier and do everything you want. It’ll rain for a while in the late afternoon, and then you’re back out to enjoy the brilliance of a star-filled tropical night, alive with the sounds of nature, all dialed up to “11.”
