Green Hotels of Costa Rica who owns Villa Blanca in San Ramon, and Si Como No in Manuel Antonio has a five-leaf rating in Costa Rica's CST program. Only four hotels in the country have the full five-leaf rating, the other two being Lapa rios and the Finca Rosa Blanca Inn in Heredia. We follow a stream down the hill as it meanders through the quaint rooms and cottages and finally cascades over a ledge into the pool. There is a natural diving platform next to the waterfall. It’s not the cliffs at Acapulco, but it is a point from which everyone can play Tarzan safely for a moment . I wait for a group of kids to make their collective leap and follow them into the pool. I surface and enjoy the cleansing moment, then swim toward the submerged bar stools, where I climb up and order a very large margarita on the rocks. The bartenders, all Ticos, (Costa Ricans) are young, friendly,and speak American, not english. It does not take me long to learn that they have all gone to school in the States and have come back home because they love their country.
