LOOKING FOR THE ULTIMATE NATURE RESERVE PARK? IT’S RIGHT HERE
In the late 1960′s the Costa Rican government made a decision to preserve these magnificent forests of Manuel Antonio and coastline with their rich marine wildlife. Fortunately 560 hectares was finally established as a National Park in 1972.
The adjacent islands are now a refuge for a great number of sea birds that -together with mainland birds- make up around 350 different species. Manuel Antonio is one of Costa Rica’s most famous National Park and one of the most beautiful national parks in the world.
Following a professional nature interpreter along this moderate three-hour walk will open your eyes to the wonders of this tropical forest and its natural history. You can expect to see various species of monkeys, plus white nosed coati-mondis, sloth’s, agoutis, butterflies, iguanas and various birds.
After the tour, we suggest that you spend some time enjoying the beautiful beaches within the park, so take along your bathing suit and beach towel and just catch a later hotel shuttle bus. Remember to ask about reserving a tour to our adjacent Wildlife Refuge and experience Costa Rica’s most unique butterfly gardens!
